Information Technology Engineering

Information Technology (IT), as an academic discipline, focuses on meeting the needs of users within an organizational and societal context through the selection, creation, application, integration and administration of computing technologies. To succinctly put: IT is using technology to apply information to meet business needs. IT professionals must know how to apply computing technoloy and to build a business case for a real world application. Our ITE degree program provides our students with quality engineering education in IT, to undertake research eat the frontiers of computing technologies, and to serve the community and the profession.
Admission Requirements
The institute’s standard entry requirements for admission to its engineering degree programs are as follows:
- A baccalaureat (C,D,F,E) with a minimum overall average score of at least 12/20 for applicants from french-speaking education systems.
OR
- GCE A level with a minimum overall average score of 12 points with at least a B grade in Physics and in Mathematics for applicants from English-speaking education systems or other qualifications internationally accepted as equivalents to the above.
OR
- One successfull year in Physics, Mathematics and Computer Science ina recognized university.
- Applicants awaiting results of the baccalaureat or GCE A level may also apply.
- The applicant must not have repeated any class in the last three years in high school.
- Proof of a sufficient command of the English language (TOEFL or IELTS) to meet course study and assessment requirements in every respect. Applicants whose second language in English will be offered admission on condition that they score the accepted points at the TOEFL or IELTS before the end of the first semester.
- Official transcripts of the applicant’s last three years in high school.
- A duly filled in application form prodided by the institute
